Madelyn attended her first Bible School week at our church. Unfortunately, she missed the first day due to pink eye, but was better by Tuesday. She had a great time playing with the kids and she especially liked the outside activities. She did have a bit of separation anxiety the first day, so I had to follow her to each station. I didn't mind too much because I was able to get a few nice pictures. However, by day two she kissed me goodbye and sent me on my way. I momentarily sat at the back of the sanctuary before leaving feeling both proud yet a bit sad. I realized that I was experiencing the same emotion she had felt the day before. Yes, this was definitely separation anxiety.
